FOOD FOR FAMILIES

Food for Families is a nutritious food bank for low-income households in the communities of East Vancouver and Port Coquitlam. We serve wholesome and nutritious food including fresh fruits, vegetables, dairy, proteins and grains.

VANCOUVER

Our Vancouver food banks serve qualifying families weekly on:

Tuesday nights between 5:30pm-8pm and Thursday mornings between 9am-12pm at our Warehouse location, 2650 Slocan St. 

Once a month, we also offer a Senior’s Day for qualifying senior’s to receive food on the third Tuesday of each month during our regular hours.

TRI-CITIES

Our Tri-Cities food bank serves the same fresh, nutritious food selection to local, low-income households on the following dates and locations:

2nd Thursday of each month: Birchland Elementary, 1331 Fraser Ave, Port Coquitlam, 2:30 to 4:00pm

4th Thursday of each month:  CityReach Tri-Cities Location, 1932 Cameron Ave, 3:00 to 5:00pm

HOW DO I SIGN UP?

To become a member at any of our Food for Families food bank locations, registration in person and a one-time membership fee of $5 are required.

FOOD FOR FAMILIES MOBILE

Food for Families Mobile is an extension of our food bank program that serves directly out of public elementary schools. These locations are only open to families currently registered at that ocal school. Please contact us for information about joining us as a volunteer at any of these locations!

VANCOUVER

1st Wednesday of each month (closed July and Aug):  Chief Maquinna Elementary, 2684 2nd Ave East, Vancouver

3rd Thursday of each month (closed July and Aug):  Kwayhquitlum Middle School, 3280 Flint St, Port Coquitlam, 2:30 to 3:30pm
