FUNDRAISING DIRECTOR
lydiap@cityreach.org
Hello hello! I am the Fundraising Director at CityReach. It’s an honor to be able to serve alongside this amazing team at Broadway Church and CityReach. My passion is to be of service of others and “To Help People Prosper”.
TRI-CITIES DIRECTOR & CLUB FREEDOM DIRECTOR
I get to work with the amazing Club Freedom team to bring hope to those experiencing homelessness, poverty, and mental health challenges in the communities of Vancouver, Surrey, and the Tri-Cities. It’s also been my pleasure for the past few years to direct all the things CityReach is doing in the Tri-Cities—Food For Families, Club Freedom, community events, and Adopt-A-School. The only reason that it’s remotely possible to do all of this, is that I get to work with the very best volunteers, who put their heart and soul into serving our community. My passion is for every person to experience and express the purest love imaginable.
SURREY DIRECTOR
I love seeing what CityReach does and how our programs help so many people! My role is to work with CityReach to explore new initiatives in the city of Surrey. Do you live in Surrey or Langley and would love to see CityReach expand? I would love to have coffee with you and chat about the opportunities that are opening up for us to take part in. Feel free to email me!

CLUB FREEDOM SURREY CHAPLAIN
eltond@cityreach.org
Having lived in the Middle East for 42 years, I have seen people from all walks of life suffer different types of addiction, including addiction to money and things that would never satisfy their appetite. I was one of these people. I had a successful career in the automotive industry, but I had a dark secret - an addiction of my own to alcohol. Nobody knew except God. But He created me for something better. When He saved me, I was in a dark place, but today, He is my light. He has shown me the plans He has for me. That is why I am here at CityReach - to be the light to the lost. Working with the Club Freedom team to help others see that there is hope, light, and life for them is an honour.
COMMUNITY EVENTS DIRECTOR
sharm@cityreach.org
It's an honour to be part of the CityReach team as the Events Director. I get to help plan amazing events like Boxes of Love, Coldest Night of the Year, and Back to School Blast, where we get to bring community and fun to our families. I love being able to create a space for people to encounter the hope and love of Jesus - and I feel lucky to be able to do this alongside amazing people. If you have any questions about any upcoming events, feel free to get in touch with me!
CLUB FREEDOM CHAPLAINCY & OUTREACH DIRECTOR
Hi! I am blessed to be able to reach out to the people in our community who are struggling with homelessness, addictions or mental illness. I work alongside an incredible team of workers and volunteers who have a heart like me for this sometimes forgotten group of people.
We feed the body as well as the soul. Each Sunday we have a Christ-centered worship service followed by a hot meal that is prepared on site with love. We provide meals for approximately 150 guests each week. Also, I provide guests with a listening ear and Christ-centered advice during the week.

GO GREEN
CityReach is proud to maintain a #gogreen initiative, and we would love your support!
We are inspired by, and working toward, the City of Vancouver ‘Greenest City’ campaign in order to better steward the gift of the earth and a healthy environment for all.
The goals of the City of Vancouver in pursuing a zero waste future include:
Conserving resources
Preventing waste of all types, including wasted food at all points between farm and table
Composting inedible food or convert it into fuel
Repairing and maintaining products and materials to extend their lives
Sharing, reusing, and refurbishing products and materials before recycling them
Keeping pollution out of the environment
Diversifying and growing our economy
Ensuring everyone has access to healthy food

WITH THIS IN MIND, WHAT IS CITYREACH DOING TO #GOGREEN?
Currently, we have committed to:
-Having Recycling and Compost available at all events and at our facility permanently for our recurring programs
-Using compostable materials for food service at our events (cups, bowls, cutlery etc.)
-Offering ‘Water Refill’ stations and encouraging guests to bring their own water bottle instead of distributing plastic single use bottles at events
-Reducing the amount of plastic waste at our events
-Encouraging people to take public transit, carpool or bicycle to events, including having bike racks available at our facility
-Using social media/web/email marketing to reduce paper waste
-Striving for zero food waste at our programs and events, by repurposing any left over food to other programs and participants
-Being more cautious of energy use during programs/events and when our building is not in use
-Launching our ‘CityReach Bees’ rooftop honeybee apiary. More info HERE
-Offering our ‘Food for Families’ fresh food program to the community, to provide healthy food options through partnerships with local food rescue organizations
We are also working toward the following:
-Using compostable / reusable food service items for all programs
-Expanding our ‘Food for Families’ and ‘Food for Families Mobile’ programs to more locations, in order to serve more families with sustainable food options
-Partnering with more organizations within Greater Vancouver who are working toward the same goals, in order to expand our knowledge, experience and impact
